KIM KARDASHIAN WEST TO PRESENT INSTAGRAM WITH CFDA AWARD

The fashion world’s next big excuse to dress up is June 1, when the annual CFDA Awards take place in New York City. It seems it will be a can’t-miss night for Kim Kardashian, since she announced Tuesday she’s presenting the CFDA Media Award to Kevin Systrom, Instagram’s founder.


Interestingly enough, 2015 will mark the first time this award is given to a platform as opposed to an individual like a top fashion photographer or critic. It’s only natural the Selfish author would be the perfect pick for doling out this honor — she has 33.3 million Instagram followers, of course. And those followers (along with her fans on Twitter) of Kanye West's wife were the first to hear the news, when she posted a photo of herself with Systrom.

DOCTOR LEAVES CELL PHONE IN WOMAN'S ABDOMEN AFTER C-SECTION

A Jordanian doctor is under investigation for dropping his cell phone inside a woman’s abdomen during a C-section.


Hanan Mahmoud Abdul Karim says the doctor dropped the cell phone inside her and sewed her back up. She realized something was horribly wrong when she was discharged, and went home and the cell phone began vibrating inside her.

Prince Harry is one royalty that always gives you something to talk about. He is definitely not your average type of prince as he put his dance skills to the test during a recent trip to New Zealand.

The 30-year-old, currently on a week-long tour of the country, visited the Linton Military Camp and joined troops for a performance of the Maori haka (a traditional war dance).

According to local paper the Manawatu Standard, he mastered the routine in just 20 minutes with the help of Warrant Officer Class 2 Brett Pene. "Given the time restraints, in trying to teach him I know it was a bit difficult trying to learn the actions and the words, so I think he did really well," Pene said. "As soldiers, it's not every day you have a member of of the royal family doing the haka with you."

NINTENDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RETURNING AFTER 25 YEARS

The Nintendo World Championships is coming back 25 years after its first and only edition back in 1990. For those looking for Super Mario glory, select Best Buys around the U.S. will hold qualifying rounds on May 30. Winners in each region will move on to the championship June 14 at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles.


The first championship was partially inspired by the 1989 film The Wizard, which starred Fred Savage, Christian Slater and Jenny Lewis. The 1990 tournament divided plaeyrs up into three age categories, and they had 6 minutes, 21 seconds to earn as many points as possible — first by collecting 50 coins in Super Mario Bros., then competing a course in Rad Racer and then playing Tetris until their time expired

"AMERICAN IDOL" COMING TO A FINAL END

If you’re still an American Idol fan then this might come as a huge shock! The Singing reality show has been struggling to stay relevant on air for years now despite all the reinventions. 

The show which has ace broadcaster Ryan Seacrest as the host and Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick JR, and Keith Urban as judges will be airing its final episode in January 2016. The viewership of American Idol took a downward spiral from 37 million viewers during Ruben Standards' season to 9 million viewers currently.

The show will be missed but I guess it's for the best.

BEYONCE A SORE LOSER?

Pop singer Beyonce Knowles dressed incognito in an all white outfit and a tan hat to shield her face in New York City on Tuesday. Sources have revealed that Bey’s husband, Jay Z practically begged his wife to call and congratulate Rihanna for gracing the Met Ball cover of Vogue. But Beyonce refused. Talk about a sore loser.
