EMPIRE CO-STARS TIE THE KNOT
Empire co-stars Grace Gealey and Trai Byers tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in the Cayman Islands on Thursday. What's interesting to note is the fact that none of their Empire c-stars were in attendance.
Trust TMZ to get a photo (not so clear) of the bride and groom dressed in all white.
Congratulations Grace and Trai!
GET RID OF ALL THAT BACTERIA!
Scientists in Scotland may have discovered the most effective way to blast bacteria from health care workers’ hands.
They say a thorough six-step technique using an alcohol-based hand rub, as recommended by the World Health Organization, is the best method.
I've always been thorough when it comes to washing my hands considering the amount of things I touch daily.

COCA-COLA LETS FATHERS GO ON LEAVE
It's safe to say Coca-Cola is redefining standards as they are now giving men the opportunity to spend more time with their newly born children.
Previously, Coke only gave six to eight weeks paid leave to female employees who gave birth. But starting in January, all new parents at Coke including dads, adoptive and foster parents will be entitled to six weeks off upon the arrival of their kids. Birth mothers will also be entitled to an additional six to eight weeks leave. The new benefit is not available to unionized Coke workers. Overall 40,000 employees are eligible, out of 60,000 in the U.S.

MUSIC TO MY EARS: 'AGAIN'- BRYMO
Had the most amazing experience this morning on my way to work. Usually I listen to music during my commute, flipping through my playlist I listened to Again by Nigerian artiste Brymo. The chords, his raspy but pleasant vocal, and production was a delight as I looked at the waves hit the shoreline of the beach, believe me I had it on repeat till I got to work.
I implore you whenever you get the time to have a listen to this beautiful piece. Proudly Nigerian!

THE ORIGIN OF THE 'HAPPY HOUR'
Don't we all just love the term Happy Hour". In case this sounds new to you it simply means selected hours during the day when you can buy drinks at a super cheap rate for more.
We can all agree that happy hour has become a sacred ritual in America. But have you ever wondered when the tradition of cheap libations after work began?
The first documented “happy hours” in the United States were held by the Navy as early as 1914 — but they had very little to do with alcohol.
For Navy sailors during the first World War, a “Happy Hour” was a weekly entertainment program held to help alleviate the boredom that comes with life at sea, according to Peter Jensen Brrown, an amateur pop culture historian who catalogs his research in the Early Sports and Pop Culture History Blog. News articles dating back to 1914 described the events as having live music, dancing, movie showings or boxing matches.
But it wasn’t until Prohibition (1920-1933) that Americans began using the term specifically for drinking.
JANET JACKSON STARTING A FAMILY
Janet Jackson has been back on the music scene with some new materials but most of her fans would rather she performs some old tunes instead.

'KOCKTAILS WITH KHLOE' CANCELLED
As much as Khloe is my favorite Kardashian, I kind of saw this coming. The few episodes I watched weren't that spectacular and it wasn't hard to see that Khloe was trying really hard.
FYI has pulled the plug on Khloe Kardashian's primetime talk show, with the final episode set to air on April 20.
The final episode of the series will feature special guests Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.
"FYI and Pilgrim Media Group appreciate everyone’s great work on the series and are pleased that the show brought new viewers and significant numbers to FYI’s linear and digital platforms," FYI and Pilgrim Media Group, which produces the series, said in a joint statement. "We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Khloé and thank her for her hard work and unique voice that she brought to the series."
The decision is especially shocking given that it comes two months after FYI gave the primetime talk show an order for 15 additional episodes on top of the original eight-episode order Kocktails had received back in July 2015.
