I get very excited whenever I come across something very creative. After I saw this beautiful piece of work done by my friend Ali Zaman for his business class, I decided I will post it on here to encourage and inspire anyone who has a dream to do something special real soon. Cinema has always been my favorite art form. Since I was a kid, if something looked, sounded or felt cinematic I’d get this tingly feeling in my gut that I still get to this day. I wanted to capture something beautiful and then project that on to other people.
The video to me is very intimate. I’m allowing a large group of people into my mind. It’s funny because about two weeks ago all the shots that we took were just being played in my mind over and over. Now, they’re real. Although I’ve always dreamed of becoming an Actor, my other passion is Entrepreneurship. I choose to study this in school because I believe that it’ll give me a lot of creative freedom which will add to my quality of life. In my Intro to Business class, my professor assigned us to make up our own business, create a plan and then market it. It was my perfect chance to incorporate both my dreams. Recently, I've been very interested in grooming and styling my hair so I decided to work on a men’s grooming company called “Atlas.” The product was an “All Purpose Paste” that specialized in having a firm hold in hair.
This was something I worked on the previous summer but never perfected the recipe. I thought this might be my chance at re-sparking that idea. I could have very well made the product pop up in your face but I accidentally didn't and I’m surprisingly happy about that. I didn't want it to be like every other commercial and promote a facade of sleek and sexiness. I wanted to provoke people’s interests, show them quality and have them experience something that’s important to me. The film portrays a certain emotion and I wanted the people who watch it to subconsciously associate that feeling with the “brand” and “product.” Similar to the Wes Anderson x Prada collaboration, this was just a short film that happens to be presented by my company. If this was a was a real company, I’d want the product to speak for itself as the film did. I was very lucky to get the help of all the talented people that were on this set, I couldn't be more proud of the end result. This was an amazing experience and I hope to do much more in the future.

Award winning Nigerian artiste Ice Prince Panshak Zamani turned 28 today.

Just so you know we were both born in Jos- Nigeria. Yes you read write, great people are born in Jos....lol.

MY ATLANTIC CITY EXPERIENCE

 

Visiting Atlantic City in New Jersey is one experience I won't forget in a very long time. I have heard a a lot about Caesars Entertainment but you know what they say, seeing is believing.

After embarking on a three hour road trip we finally made our way into the breath taking empire.

Caesars Entertainment was founded in 1937, it is the world's premier provider of branded casino entertainment. The corporation owns or manages through various subsidiaries in more than 50 casinos in the United States and internationally. Brands under this corporation are Harrah's, Baileys and Caesars.

I got the chance to speak to several managers who shared their experience on the job and also took me on a tour of their breathtaking facilities.

NOVA SOSA THE REAL DEAL

I'm always excited when I meet people that are blessed with a talent that shines through. These past weeks have been really revealing and fun at the same time. 

 

Meet Brandon Moreno popularly known as Nova Sosa who is currently the president of the Web Radio Club at LaGuardia College, a college I'm also attending....smiles.

Apart from being efficient and effective with his duties, he is also a musician and you will be shocked at some details you will read about in his brief profile which I will share shortly.

26 year old from Harlem, has dreams of becoming a star in the music industry just as everyone from "the hood" does, but he might have that spark that you need to make it further than just your own speakers. He's served in the Army for 4 years, served a tour of duty in Iraq & in Haiti. He has a 10 year old son and a brother who raps and is just as talented as the next person if not better. The question is, does he have what it takes!?...

JENNIFER LOPEZ BIOGRAPHY GOES ON SALE IN NOVEMBER

Anyone close to me knows how much I love Jennifer Lopez, I'm a proud Jlover any day anytime. So expect to see lots of features on JLo on my blog...hehehe.

The beautiful and ageless singer and actress will publish her first book, an autobiographical work entitled "TrueLove", in which she reviews one of the key periods of her life.

"True Love" will hit the market at the same time in both Spanish and English editions will be in the form of a personal diary and will include never-before published photos.

Lord knows I can't wait to grab a copy!

APPLE'S iCLOUD UNDER ATTACK IN CHINA

Hackers have reportedly begun targeting iCloud users in mainland China, utilizing a so-called "man-in-the-middle" approach in an attempt to steal user information, with one group accusing the Chinese government itself of perpetrating the attack

  
The attacks were first revealed by Chinese activist group GreatFire.org, which said the latest efforts resemble previous attacks on Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft Hotmail. The organization has alleged that China's government is involved in the attacks, according to Reuters.

 The attacks are said to have incredibly deep access to the servers of Chinese Internet providers, leading to speculation that the government-owned companies are cooperating in the attack. Security researchers say that Greatfire.org's claims appear to be accurate, though the Chinese government has denied the accusations.

The attacks first came to light when users in China began to receive security warnings from Apple's iCloud service. That led Chinese Internet activist Zhou Shuguang to investigate.

Now I'm beginning to have second thoughts on going back to Apple after the celebrity phone hacking that happened weeks ago. Now this.
 

KIM KARDASHIAN WEST TURNS 34

Reality TV star, mother, wife and fashion forward Kimberly Kardashian West turned 34 today. I'm still pondering at the amount of love she's being shown today. Don't get me wrong I say this based on the cyber bullying she faces almost everyday of her life.

Here's wishing you a life filled with joy and all the things you wish for Kim. If you would like to party with her then you have to live or fly into Las Vegas on Friday October 24 as Tao will be hosting the beautiful star.

I sincerely commend every Nigerian artiste that works hard to keep good music playing. It is not an easy job as some people think.

I woke up yesterday morning to the Ice Prince bug all over the internet. Of course I wasn't surprised considering his consistency in the Nigerian music community so far and the amount of fans he has gathered home and abroad(especially London).

I'm a huge fan of good music and I get very excited when I hear it. Okay enough of that, lol. 

I present to you "Ire" from a talented artiste known as Tjan. He is signed on to Right Entertainment and has just released his debut single. Tijani Olasunmbo Fowosere was born on February 21, 1992 into a family that loves music. He tags his style of music "soul afro pop".

My sources have also revealed that a remix to the track is well on its way and it will feature the iconic 2face Idibia. Just so you know "Ire" means blessing.

EBOLA SCARE IN THE US

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta has come under scrutiny for pointing the finger of blame at a nurse who contracted the deadly Ebola virus while caring for an Ebola patent in Dallas.

The nurse, who treated Thomas Eric Duncan in the isolation unit at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, is the 2nd person to be diagnosed with Ebola on U.S. soil. Duncan, who was the first person diagnosed in the U.S., died on Oct. 8.

According to CDC director Thomas Frieden he says 
“Unfortunately it is possible in the coming days that we will see additional cases of Ebola,”

 The CDC’s preemptive finger pointing at the health care worker is raising concern among doctors and nurses, who say health care workers are not properly trained to treat patients with Ebola.

Only 4 hospitals in the country have isolation units that specialize in treating and containing infectious diseases like Ebola. Still, the White House refuses to order the mandatory transfer of Ebola patients to one of those 4 hospitals for treatment.

Lets keep praying for all the countries affected and stop the spread of this deadly virus.

HORN FREE DAY IN LAGOS

If you live, lived or ever visited Lagos State in Nigeria, then I'm sure your thought is just as good as mine. How possible can this be?

Considering the busy and noisy nature of Lagos I wonder if every single motorist will adhere to this.

I'm very excited to be hosting the "DoOver" show with the delectable Eku Edewor on October 24, 2014 in Houston, Texas.
