JLO AINT YOUR AVERAGE MAMA!

Today has been truly a good day as my bff Jennifer Lopez released the video to her hit summer anthem Aint Your Mama. The video takes you through different eras through the costuming and props.

It's also important to note the message contained in this beautiful piece of work which points to love, respect for women, human rights, and equality. Enjoy and see how Jlo shows you she has been on top in show business for many years.

OBAMA SPEAKS ON DONALD TRUMP'S RECORD

I'm sure you must have noticed that I hardly blog about political news much less Donald Trump and all the media attention he has gathered on his campaign trail.

One thing worthy of mention is President Obama's recent response to Trump's surprising victory of becoming the next Republican candidate. This is what Obama had to say;

“It’s important for us to take seriously the statements he’s made in the past,”Obama told reporters. “I just want to emphasize the degree to which we are in serious times and this is a really serious job. “This is not entertainment. This is not a reality show.”

These words are more than enough for the wise. God bless America!

POP SUPERSTAR PRINCE DIES AT 57

The world has indeed lost a legendary icon.

Singer-songwriter Prince has died at the age of 57 at his home in suburban Minneapolis, his publicist has confirmed.
His publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, told the Associated Press news agency the music icon was found dead at his home on Thursday in Chanhassen.

It comes days after he suffered a medical emergency that forced his private jet to make an emergency landing in Illinois.
He was flying home from a show in Atlanta, Georgia, on 15 April when he was taken ill. Prince sold more than 100 million records and won seven Grammy Awards during a music career that spanned more than three decades.

Rest in peace Prince. You will be missed!

13 most stylish male celebrities are been honored by GQ. Some of the names include, Drake, Future, Idris Elba, Russell Westbrook, Odell Beckham Jr., Ryan Reynolds, andHarry Styles.
Only Future, Idris Elba and Drake have their own individual covers (online only).

I personally feel there are more stylish male celebrities that can be added to the list.

EMPIRE CO-STARS TIE THE KNOT

Empire co-stars Grace Gealey and Trai Byers tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in the Cayman Islands on Thursday. What's interesting to note is the fact that none of their Empire c-stars were in attendance.

Trust TMZ to get a photo (not so clear) of the bride and groom dressed in all white.

Congratulations Grace and Trai!

GET RID OF ALL THAT BACTERIA!

Scientists in Scotland may have discovered the most effective way to blast bacteria from health care workers’ hands.

They say a thorough six-step technique using an alcohol-based hand rub, as recommended by the World Health Organization, is the best method.

I've always been thorough when it comes to washing my hands considering the amount of things I touch daily.

COCA-COLA LETS FATHERS GO ON LEAVE

It's safe to say Coca-Cola is redefining standards as they are now giving men the opportunity to spend more time with their newly born children.

Previously, Coke only gave six to eight weeks paid leave to female employees who gave birth. But starting in January, all new parents at Coke including dads, adoptive and foster parents will be entitled to six weeks off upon the arrival of their kids. Birth mothers will also be entitled to an additional six to eight weeks leave. The new benefit is not available to unionized Coke workers. Overall 40,000 employees are eligible, out of 60,000 in the U.S.

MUSIC TO MY EARS: 'AGAIN'- BRYMO

Had the most amazing experience this morning on my way to work. Usually I listen to music during my commute, flipping through my playlist I listened to Again by Nigerian artiste Brymo. The chords, his raspy but pleasant vocal, and production was a delight as I looked at the waves hit the shoreline of the beach, believe me I had it on repeat till I got to work.

I implore you whenever you get the time to have a listen to this beautiful piece. Proudly Nigerian!

THE ORIGIN OF THE 'HAPPY HOUR'

Don't we all just love the term Happy Hour". In case this sounds new to you it simply means selected hours during the day when you can buy drinks at a super cheap rate for more.

We can all agree that happy hour has become a sacred ritual in America. But have you ever wondered when the tradition of cheap libations after work began?

The first documented “happy hours” in the United States were held by the Navy as early as 1914 — but they had very little to do with alcohol.

For Navy sailors during the first World War, a “Happy Hour” was a weekly entertainment program held to help alleviate the boredom that comes with life at sea, according to Peter Jensen Brrown, an amateur pop culture historian who catalogs his research in the Early Sports and Pop Culture History Blog. News articles dating back to 1914 described the events as having live music, dancing, movie showings or boxing matches.

But it wasn’t until Prohibition (1920-1933) that Americans began using the term specifically for drinking.

JANET JACKSON STARTING A FAMILY

Janet Jackson has been back on the music scene with some new materials but most of her fans would rather she performs some old tunes instead.

Anyway, the 49 year old singer and performer announced this morning via an instagram video that she will be postponing her tour as her and her husband Wissam al Mana are about to start a family. Nice one Janet!

'KOCKTAILS WITH KHLOE' CANCELLED

As much as Khloe is my favorite Kardashian, I kind of saw this coming. The few episodes I watched weren't that spectacular and it wasn't hard to see that Khloe was trying really hard.

FYI has pulled the plug on Khloe Kardashian's primetime talk show, with the final episode set to air on April 20.

The final episode of the series will feature special guests Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.

"FYI and Pilgrim Media Group appreciate everyone’s great work on the series and are pleased that the show brought new viewers and significant numbers to FYI’s linear and digital platforms," FYI and Pilgrim Media Group, which produces the series, said in a joint statement. "We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Khloé and thank her for her hard work and unique voice that she brought to the series."

The decision is especially shocking given that it comes two months after FYI gave the primetime talk show an order for 15 additional episodes on top of the original eight-episode order Kocktails had received back in July 2015.

JENNIFER LOPEZ CARPOOL KARAOKE

Over 14 million views is a good reason to watch my diva Jennifer Lopez in this exciting episode of carpool karaoke.

In this exclusive web version, James Corden and Jennifer Lopez carpool to CBS singing some of her most popular tracks before James takes Jennifer's phone and sends a text to Leonardo DiCaprio. Watch Jennifer Lopez in the Shades of Blue season finale this Thursday March 31st on NBC, and the American Idol series finale April 7th on Fox.

THE 'ASO-EBI' DRAMA

So today I was going through my Facebook feed and couldn't agree more with Olajumoke Alawode-Jame an old media friend back in Nigeria. I'm sure a lot of Nigerians especially the Yorubas can relate to this. I have always had my reservations on the viral 'aso-ebi' trend, it feels like Olajumoke peeped into my mind. Her write up is a must read plus she looks gorgeous in that photo

"Ebi" in Yoruba Language signifies a relative, a family member. So "aso ebi" is family wear. When it's a family event, what I complain mostly about is the cost of the "aso ebi". I always know one family member or the other who can't afford the aso ebi. But no one wants to look different, so we would rather borrow, get indebted to wear aso ebi. I've never liked the trend. Before, it used to be forimmediate family members, siblings. And they would (rightly), buy the aso ebi for the sibling that couldn't afford it. Today, the lace merchants have commercialized this culture.

MUSIC TO MY EARS: 'ALL I SEE'- KAYSWITCH FT OLAMIDE

When two of my favorite Nigerian artistes come together on a song, it is nothing but beautiful music to my ears. Kayswitch who released Jaburata late last year, has just dropped a new tune titled All I See featuring YBNL president Olamide.

It's a good listen with a positive message. Enjoy!

JAZZ AT THE WHITE HOUSE

Is it just me or have the Obamas been super busy lately. I like that Barrack, Michelle, and their lovely daughters have been very engaged these passed weeks. Now for all the jazz lovers, this will capture your attention.

International Jazz Day, one of the world's biggest celebrations of jazz, is coming to the White House.
President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, plan to host a blockbuster concert April 29 featuring Aretha Franklin, Al Jarreau, Sting, Herbie Hancock and many other established and up-and-coming musical artists. The show is to be televised by ABC the following day, on April 30 the fifth anniversary of International Jazz Day.

Scores of musical performances and educational and community service programs are also planned for across the District of Columbia, in all 50 states and in practically every country, said Tom Carter, president of the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. The jazz institute and UNESCO sponsor International Jazz Day. It was established to highlight jazz music as a unifying force for freedom and creativity.

EMPIRE IS BACK!

I'm definitely not the only one who is excited about the return of Empire. It continued from where it left off last year and as you can already imagine, it was engaging from start to finish. Hopefully they keep up this momentum in the coming episodes.

The Grim Reaper is no stranger to Empire, but the loss at the center of Wednesday's mid season premiere was unlike any of the other sudden, shocking, over-the-top deaths that came before it. After getting pushed down the stairs at the end of the winter finale, Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) lost her unborn baby with Andre (Trai Byers).

"It hardens her," Doubleday says. "At first, [Andre] thinks somebody pushes her and she doesn’t believe it, and then she thinks somebody pushed her and he doesn’t believe it."

Andre's struggle with mental illness, which was first uncovered in season one, will resurface as a result of this unforeseen tragedy. "It’s like, 'Do you think somebody pushed me because you're having these visions? Is that your mental illness? Are you taking your medication?' There's a lot of drama for them dealing with this horrible thing that's happened to them," Doubleday says. "There's some dramatic, scrappy stuff that Rhonda does at the end. There are some strange surprising alliances that come." There is so much to come so keep watching!

FAVELA TOUR, RIO

My good friend and world traveler Pericles Nova did a tour of Favela in Rio, Brazil. Quite a number of people around the world have a not so good perception of Favela. But I bet after watching this video and reading a report by Pericles, you will have a change of mind.

LIL WAYNE SUES UNIVERSAL MUSIC

If this is true, then it's really sad how some music managment companies try to exploit artiste on their hard work and discovery as is the case with rapper Lil Wayne.

Lil Wayne claims he's owed tens of millions of dollars for discovering and nurturing successful recording artists Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga.

Universal Music Group is paying itself instead of shelling out royalties it owes Lil Wayne, according to a federal lawsuit filed by the rapper-producer's attorneys Monday in California.
Dwayne Carter Jr., known as Lil Wayne, is suing UMG and SoundExchange, claiming he's been shorted millions from his work discovering and nurturing artists like Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga.

Carter claims Universal has diverted tens of millions of dollars of his profits to repay itself for the $100 million it advanced to Cash Money Records, Inc.

EGYPTAIR FLIGHT HIJACKED

Woke up this morning to this breaking news and I'm just like "what is going on in the world???"

A hijacker took over an EgyptAir plane en route to Cairo from Alexandria on Tuesday morning and forced it to land in Larnaca, on the southern coast of Cyprus.
Most of the 56 passengers were released, but a tense standoff ensued for four hours, as the plane stayed on the tarmac. Three passengers, and five crew members including the pilot and co-pilot were still on board, along with the hijacker, EgyptAir said in a Facebook post at 12:15 p.m.

Although the hijacker claimed to be wearing a suicide belt and threatened to detonate it, officials in Egypt and Cyprus said they believed he may have been motivated by personal factors.

What kind of personal factor will make you hijack a plane with passengers from different parts of the world. Will be following this story.

SEAN 'DIDDY' COMBS TO OPEN HIS CHARTER SCHOOL

He's been a rapper, actor, singer, entrepreneur, record producer and clothing designer, he sure does it all. Now Sean "Diddy" Combs has taken on a new job as the founder of a charter school in New York City's Harlem neighborhood.

Combs announced Monday that the Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School will open in the fall. The school will be overseen by Capital Prep leader Steve Perry, who founded Capital Prep Magnet School in Hartford, Connecticut, in 2005.

Combs and the board have hired Orlando-based educator Danita Jones as the principal of Capital Prep Harlem.
Combs says creating the school is "a dream come true."

SAD TIME FOR "BELIEBERS"

Remember this?

Justin Bieber disappointed hard core “Beliebers” everywhere after he canceled pre-concert meet-and-greets on his Purpose World Tour. Bieber’s fans with deep pockets dropped $2,000 a pop to meet Beiber backstage and take pictures with him.

Bieber, 22, took to Instagram last week to announce the cancelled meet-and-greets because he said they made him feel unhappy, drained, and depressed.

But the pop singer’s embattled manager, Scooter Braun, sparked outrage on social media when he announced the refund policy.

Sad time for all the "Beliebers"

A BIG CHANGE ON INSTAGRAM

As a fervent user of the Instagram app I find the change that's about to happen to the way photos are viewed somewhat unnecessary.

Instagram which is the number one photo sharing app, is about to change the way it displays photos. The Facebook owned firm is rolling out a new system that ditches the old way chronological listings for an algorithm. This simply means Instagram will now show you photos it thinks you want to see.

My timeline is currently flooded with users pleading that other users turn on their notification so they are still seen. I think this move by Instagram will force us to get more creative with our posts so we can be seen, or make people lose interest in it. Looking forward to seeing the change happen tomorrow and how users respond to it.

THE GENIUS CALLED MICHAEL WILKINSON

Just before the movie Batman vs Superman came out, there was so much talk about it and of course fans of either super heroes were already anticipating who will do better in the movie. I'm yet to see the movie hopefully this weekend after I see London Has Fallen of course.

A lot goes into costuming for movies like this and that's why it's no surprise that Michael Wilkinson was contracted again to make the costumes for B vs S. He who also served as costume designer for Man of Steel (2013). Director Zack Snyder enlisted the designer once again to create looks that were fit for fighting, as well as staying incognito.

Here's what Wilkinson had to say about working on the costumes for the B vs S which has already earned $424 million globally at the weekend box office.

SELENA GOMEZ RULES INSTAGRAM

Gone are the days when socialite Kim Kardashian was the most talked about and followed person on instagram.

I didn't see singer, Selena Gomez sitting on the throne of the most followed celebrity on instagram with 69.7 million followers. What's even more shocking is the fact that she beat her best friend Taylor Swift to it. Honestly I would have thought Kylie Jenner would have this spot considering the amount of young boys and girls that like and follow her. But you never know what truly gets the attention of people.

I just started following Selena, and I think I understand why she has that many followers.

GQ FORGIVES JUSTIN BIEBER

Justin Bieber said he was "Sorry," and GQ has responded with a message of forgiveness. The magazine revealed Bieber as its March cover star (marking the first time he's ever landed the cover spot), with the headline, "Let Us Forgive Justin Bieber." The singer, who sported some baby whiskers in the Eric Ray Davidson-lensed shot, opened up to GQ about his wild "younger" days, but notes that he wouldn't necessarily change anything if he could. "I think it’s all my journey," he said. "That stuff made me who I am.”

I find the angle of the cover very creative. It is also interesting to see the level of growth in Justin's physical appearance, and music career. It's hard to forget how "Baby" got us falling in love with him over and over again.

IDRIS ELBA AND NAOMI CAMPBELL TOGETHER?

Could this be true? I know a truck load of ladies will wish they where in Naomi Campbell's shoes.

Idris Elba is no doubt a ladies man, but reports hitting the entertainment surface suggest that Elba has just split with his long time girlfriend and mother of his son Naiyana Garth after spending the night with super model Naomi Campbell.

WHAT ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH IS THIS CREATURE?

This is so weird. The man who owns the Guinness World Record for largest collection of two- headed animals claims he's discovered a creature so strange he doesn't know what it is.

Todd Ray, the owner of the Venice Beach FreakShow, says the animal is so bizarre that he's not giving it a name like he usually does.
"I don't want to call it an alien, but it's definitely alien in form. It's about a foot long and has gill-like ear things below the head. It's got weird eyes and something out of its mouth that looks like a fleshy fang,"

I'm still trying to figure out what type of creature this is.

JAY Z HIT WITH $18M LAWSUIT

Rap mogul Jay Z refused to promote his his fragrance, Gold Jay Z, so says a $18 million lawsuit filed against him.

Jay Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, refused to make appearances to promote the Gold Jay Z toilet water after pocketing $2 million, says the licensing company that filed the lawsuit.

“Sales of Gold Jay Z have declined considerably because of Jay Z’s and his teams lack of interest in supporting and promoting his own brand,” according to the lawsuit filed by Perfumania Holdings Inc.

STEAMY BLIZZARD ROMANCE

While most people were hunkering down in anticipation of winter storm Jonas, one engaged couple wholeheartedly embraced the snowy weather.

Felicia Sam and David Nartey always wanted to do a photo shoot in the snow, so they called up their wedding photographer and scheduled their engagement pictures for Friday afternoon.

The couple, along with photographer Dotun Ayodeji, headed to Soil Conservation Road in Greenbelt, Maryland to capture some sweet, snowy snaps.

"We discussed the idea of doing a snow shoot a while back but we didn't think it would be a blizzard shoot," Dotun said. "We definitely didn't expect the media attention, but just wanted to have fun like I do with my engagement shoots."

GABRIELLE UNION CALLS STACEY DASH A 'CRAZY LADY'

Discussions on race drains me. I look forward to a world where we can just treat each other with love and look pass the color of our skin.
The "lack of diversity" issue on this year's Oscar nominations has got a lot of African Americans riled up. Last week Stacey Dash made some comments with regards to this issue which many found very offensive.

Actress Gabrielle Union fired back in a recent interview and here's what she said;

During an interview with The Associated Press, Union applauded minority groups for holding their own awards shows rather than running to outsiders for validation.
But then she went there by calling Dash “crazy.”

“If you don’t see yourself reflected in mainstream awards, you tend to create your own. Until there is no longer a need for that, I celebrate the ALMAs, the same way I celebrate the Country Music Awards, and the same way I celebrate the BET Awards and the Image Awards, which we’ll all be at in a couple of weeks. The more that we focus on inclusion and a true representation of this country, I think that crazy lady will have less to say.”

APPLE QUARTERLY EARNINGS DROP DURING HOLIDAYS

I'm sure every team Android person will be excited to hear this. Personally, I've compared and contrasted which device is more effective, iOS or Android, and I've come to the conclusion that it all depends on the users and what they find more convenient, accessible, durable and in some cases better camera quality(a good camera gets my attention first).

Sales of Apple's iPhone are still increasing, but not by much.

The tech giant on Tuesday reported that fiscal first quarter sales of the iPhone grew by less than one percent, the lowest growth rate for the device since it was first introduced in 2007. In total, Apple sold 74.8 million of the smart phones.

Quarterly earnings came in at $3.28 per share and revenue was $75.9 billion, up just shy of 2 percent year-over-year.

THE NEW "PLANET X"

In solar system news, researchers are now pretty certain there's a ninth planet in the solar system.

Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown, two CalTech scientists, say the new planet is about 10 times the mass of Earth and has an atmosphere of hydrogen and helium. Science magazine reports that the mysterious "Planet X" moves in a distant orbit beyond Neptune.

The researchers haven't observed Planet X itself, but believe it exists because of the unique configuration of six objects when they come closest to the sun, according to Science.

DOCTOR ALLEGEDLY EJACULATES OF FEMALE PATIENT

A prominent Mount Sinai doctor is facing three counts of sexual abuse and sex assault after a female patient accused him of ejaculating in her face.

Dr. David Newman showed no emotion as he turned himself in to authorities at the NYPD Special Victims unit in Harlem on Tuesday. Newman did not respond to reporters shouts as he entered the police station.

The incident occurred on January 11 when the unidentified woman went to the Mount Sinai Hospital emergency room complaining of pain in her shoulder.

The woman told police she was taken to a private room inside the ER where a nurse gave her two pain pills and a cortisone injection for inflammation.

ARIANA GRANDE LAUNCHES "NON-GENDER EXCLUSIVE" FRAGRANCE

Not long after releasing her first-ever fragrance, Ari Ariana Grande, the petite pop star is already launching her next perfume. However, unlike the previous one which was described with scents of "sparkling fruits and florals" her latest is opting for a less feminine note.

Named after her brother, Frankie, the scent is described as a "non-gender exclusive" fragrance that is "meant to be worn by all!" according to Frankie's Instagram post. Ariana also re-posted on Twitter, adding a number of hashtags like "#smellssogoodtho" and "#wearingitrn."

VIDEO: 'STANDING OVATION" FOR TIWA SAVAGE

I'm really enjoying some of the music videos being churned out of the Nigerian music industry this year. I woke up to a lot of buzz around award winning Nigerian artiste Tiwa Savage of Mavin Records, as she just released a new video titled Standing Ovation featuring YBNL rap superstar Olamide.

I like the concept of the video and the innocence of the children at the end as the kept chanting Tiwa Savage's name. Really cool video and nice song.

NYC'S MAYOR AND FIRST LADY CRITICIZE OSCARS OVER NO BLACK NOMINEES

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and first lady Chirlane McCray are calling out the Oscars for the lack of nonwhite Academy Award nominees.

Following the Thursday morning announcement of the 88th Academy Award nominees, marking the second consecutive year in which no minorities were nominated in any of the acting categories, de Blasio and his wife both took to Twitter to share their opinions on the lack of diversity.
McCray posted a picture of each of the best actress nominees Thursday — Jennifer Lawrence, Brie Larson, Cate Blanchett, Saoirse Ronan and Charlotte Rampling — with the caption "!?" and five white female emojis. On Friday, she followed up her first tweet with a second Twitter post: "The ladies are talented, but they do not even begin to represent or reflect the diverse and amazing talent of America 2016."

The other day I watched O'Shea Jackson, Sr. popularly known as Ice cube while he was interviewed by Wendy Williams and when she asked him how he felt about just being nominated for screenplay, he simply said "I'm not surprised, it's the Oscars they do what they do". Something is definitely wrong somewhere.

PATTI LABELLE, 71, IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH 41 YEAR OLD DRUMMER

R&B legend Patti LaBelle has decided to date someone decades younger.
The 71-year-young songstress, who revived her career selling sweet potato pies for Wal-Mart, is dating her drummer, 41-year-old Eric Seats.

The couple met after he was hired to be her drummer last year.
“She tried to keep it quiet, but everyone around her has figured things out now. She’s completely smitten with him,” a source told London’s Daily Mail tabloid.
LaBelle’s 42-year-old son, Zuri Edwards, is reportedly unhappy that his mother is dating a man younger than him.

'I LOVE LAGOS'- OLAMIDE. YOU WILL TOO!

Award winning Nigerian musician, Olamide, has just given you a reason to love Lagos even more with a new video directed by Unlimited L.A.

The video captures specific parts of Lagos, Nigeria in a beautiful way and will easily convince any tourist to come visit. I'm from Lagos and I dare say it is indeed the 'Centre of Exccelence' as there are so many attractions, activities, and lovely people that will make your stay worthwhile.

LADY GAGA DROPS BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

Lady Gaga's third studio effort was a low point in a career of many highs. The singles never popped and the Botticelli-inspired aesthetic just didn't mesh with the content of the album.

After 2014's "Cheek to Cheek," Gaga's collaboration with legend Tony Bennett, however, the 29-year-old proved to all those who doubted her abilities that she was back and better than ever.

On the red carpet at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, Gaga teased her new album and hinted at when we can expect the new music to drop.

“I am putting out an album this year. I won’t tell you when, but it is coming out this year,” she told reporters.

Must be exciting times for all of her fans whom she calls 'little monsters'

BEST DRESSED MEN AND WOMEN AT THE 2016 GOLDEN GLOBES

There were tons of amazing looks on the Golden Globes red carpet this year, but there were a few that stood out as some of the best of the night.

I fell in love over and over again with Jennifer Lawrences' look in Dior and she was without a doubt the best dressed female with ace comedian and actor, Kevin Hart leading the men stylishly in Musika Frere.

Kanye West returns to the music scene with his latest musical offering, “Real Friends,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, off his upcoming album, Swish.

A bonus track, “No More Parties in LA” features rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Kanye tweeted a link to “Real Friends” on Friday night but he quickly deleted it, saying there was a distortion in the main loop of the track. But it didn’t matter; half of his followers had already downloaded the distorted track from the link.

Kanye later uploaded a fixed version of the song to his website, kanyewest.com.

LAMAR ODOM LEAVES HOSPITAL

2016 is off to a good start for former NBA star Lamar Odom. He has been transferred from a Los Angeles hospital to a private facility. But there's no word on his condition, three months after he was found unconscious and in critical condition at a Nevada brothel.

Family spokeswoman Alvina Alston says Friday that Odom was released from the hospital earlier in the week.

Alston says Odom's family is proud of what's termed his "miraculous and continued improvement" but isn't providing details of his condition.

Odom was found at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada, in October. Investigators believe he overdosed on cocaine and other drugs during a three-day stay.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: CHANNING TATUM VS BEYONCE

Actor Channing Tatum channeled pop singer Beyonce during a hilarious lip sync dance routine on Spike TV’s “Lip Sync Battle” Thursday night.

Tatum dressed in drag to compete against his wife, actress Jenna Dewan Tatum. The 35-year-old actor wore a blond wig and a barely there outfit similar to the one Beyonce wore in her music video.

I couldn't stop laughing while watching this video.

SIGNS OF DEHYDRATION AND HOW TO AVOID IT

There are straightforward reasons a person may become dehydrated; not drinking enough water or neglecting to properly fuel during a workout on a hot day are common culprits. But there are other, less well known causes, like diabetes, prescription medications and stress, that may also prompt the condition.

Whatever the case please make sure to drink enough water as much as you can. I don't joke with drinking water and trust me, I feel good each time I do.

Click and read on how to dodge dehydration.

MACY'S ANNOUNCES THOUSANDS OF JOB CUTS

Bad news from Macy's as it will be cutting up to 4,800 jobs and has slashed its profit outlook after a miserable holiday season.

The nation's largest department store chain, which also operates upscale Bloomingdale's, said about 2,110 of the job cuts will come from reducing staffing levels at stores, eliminating duplication(s) in back office operations and consolidating regional store groups. The remaining 2,710 job cuts will come from the store closings that Macy's announced last fall, says Macy's spokesman Jim Sluzewski.

As of Wednesday, Macy's had about 163,000 workers.
The moves, announced Wednesday, are part of Macy's ongoing campaign to make its operations more nimble to compete in a world where increasingly demanding shoppers are going back and forth between stores and their mobile devices. Analysts expect more retailers to reduce their store count after the holiday season that showed a surge in online spending but lower traffic counts to physical stores.

JANET JACKSON ADDRESSES CANCER RUMORS

Just so you know, music icon,  Janet Jackson does not have cancer.
On Wednesday, the singer addressed rumors that she had canceled recent tour dates due to throat cancer.
She made the statement in a video posted to her Twitter account, starting first with a scrolling Star Wars-style text clip that first ran through the lyrics of her Unbreakable track "The Great Forever" with fitting lines such as, "Sources say but where ya gettin' it / Don't create the truth you like."

Following, she wrote, "Remember ... believe it when you hear it from my lips. I do not have cancer. I'm recovering. My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled." She concluded the message, "Thank you for your prayers and love."

MISS UNIVERSE IS HAPPY TO BE THE ONLY WINNER

Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach supports the competition's choice to crown only one winner, a choice that came into question after Miss Universe host Steve Harvey wrongly gave Miss Colombia the 2015 Miss Universe crown, only to retract it and give it to Wurtzbach herself.

"I think it would be very difficult for two girls to share the crown and the responsibility, to split the responsibilities between the two ladies," Wurtzbach revealed in an interview with HuffPost Live on Tuesday. "I think that, looking forward, this pageant will open a lot of opportunities for all of the girls anyways."

The Miss Philippines title holder looked back on the moment Harvey made his notorious snafu, recalling that she was "obviously very excited" to hear she'd in fact won.
"Of course I wanted to win, like all of the other girls," she recounted. "Back where I'm from, in the Philippines, pageants are a big deal, especially Miss Universe, so this was very exciting for me."

IT MIGHT GET "FAST AND FURIOUS" IN CUBA

The Fast and Furious franchise is known for globetrotting to some of the world's most exotic and exciting locations, taking stars Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris and the late Paul Walker from the streets of Los Angeles to places like Japan, London and Abu Dhabi.
But the eighth installment could potentially send the racing action series to a place rarely explored by Hollywood films: Cuba.

Sources say Fast and Furious 8's director F. Gary Gray recently returned from a scouting trip that included the previously embargoed nation as part of professional research trip. Sources say the production has moved forward with the paperwork to shoot there, making it the first Hollywood studio film to shoot on the island since the embargo was set in the 1960s.

"Universal Pictures is currently in the process seeking approval from the United States and Cuban governments to explore shooting a portion of the next installment of the Fast & Furious series in Cuba," said a statement from the studio.

JUSTIN BIEBER USED BY KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN?

News of Justin Bieber and Kourtney Kardashian began to make the rounds after the two were spotted out together on several occasions that sparked romance speculation, and now, the 21-year-old singer is speaking out about the highly talked-about rumors.

In a December 17 interview on radio program The Bert Show, airing on Wednesday, Biebs addressed the situation by jokingly responding to the headline with, "I'm being used, man. What can I say?"

He did, however, add that he has nothing but love for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, who went through a very public breakup with longtime boyfriend Scott Disick over the summer.

"No, no, but for real, she's great," Bieber said. "I've known [the family] for years.

VIDEO: JENNIFER LOPEZ IS JUST YOUR GIRL NEXT DOOR

My diva stopped by the Jimmy Kimmel show LOOKING STUNNING to promote her new series "Shades of Blue" but more importantly, to talk about shopping. As it turns out, Lopez loves to bargain hunt just as much as us mere mortals.

"I do shop at Marshalls, why not?" she said, to which Kimmel replied, laughing, "Do people pass out in the aisles when they see you?"

"I like shopping at the bargain places," she insisted. "I like mixing things up."

I just love how real she is. Watch out for Shades of Blue, All I Have, and American Idol in the month of #JENuary

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU WITHHOLD ORGASM

I was reading through a couple of articles online and bumped into this one which I found very interesting. It may help give you a new insight about orgasm and everything in between.

Warning: This post contains content that may be graphic for some readers.

The best orgasms I have ever had, I have had to wait for. The technical term for this is called "Edging." Edging is when you bring a person to the edge of climax and then stop. It's all about coming very close and then pulling away. It's all about heightened arousal, hinting at more, anticipation, waiting, yearning, getting close, hunger and then finally being allowed to let go.
