'ODDANNB' KICKS-OFF IN 2016

My family is filled with fashionable people and I'm super proud to let you all know that my cousin will be launching his own fashion line in 2016.

TREY SONGZ SERENADES NIGERIA

The weekend of December 18 – 20th will be remembered by Lagosians for a long time as it was unarguably one of the most exciting and entertaining periods of 2015.
It all began with the arrival of RnB star Trey Songz to Nigeria on Thursday for Pepsi Rhythm Unplugged billed to hold the next day.

The 2015 edition of Rhythm Unplugged surely lived up to expectations with mind blowing performances by headliners Trey Songz, Pepsi ambassador Wizkid, Davido, Olamide, Basketmouth, Bovi and others.

MARIAH CAREY AND NICK CANNON REUNITE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

More than a year after filing for divorce, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have reunited to celebrate the holiday season with their children, 4-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan Cannon. 

Nick shared all the fun in a slew of Instagram snaps on Friday night, which included tree-decorating, candy-apple-making, a "festive" family outing with Mariah, and a special appearance from grandma. Despite the fact that the two are exes, Mariah and Nick seem to remain quite close.

Singer extraordinare Adele gracefully covers Time Magazine in my favorite color Red!!! What a lovely way for the Grammy award nominee to wrap up 2016 with a stare that says a million words.

In the accompanying interview, Adele credits some of her success to her emotional vulnerability, but admits she's still taken aback by just how big "25" turned out to be.

Biggest MISS On the UNIVERSE

Trust the internet to go bizarre after what can be tagged "the shortest crowned miss universe in history" took place on Sunday night.

Miss Universe 2015 host Steve Harvey wrongfully declared Miss Colombia the winner when she was the first runner-up. Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, the contestant from the Philippines, had won. It was evidently one of the most awkward moments in TV history.

Latest reports show that that Steve Harvey may not have been responsible for the wrong announcement. Some are pointing to a backstage Snapchat video as proof the mistake may have been someone else's.

A seven-second behind-the-scenes video shows Harvey immediately after naming the wrong winner, Miss Colombia instead of Miss Philippines, pointing to a cue card and talking to an unidentified person saying: “The teleprompter said Miss Universe – Colombia.”

Whatever the case Harvey has since apologized on TV and social media. 

CHRIS BROWN ON INAUGURAL ISSUE OF NOTION MAGAZINE

Singer Chris Brown is the first “global superstar” to cover the inaugural of Notion magazine. Magazines are making a strong comeback now that the economy is improving and people are abandoning the Internet for the fresh air outdoors.

Here's a message from Notion;

'THRILLER' BY MICHAEL JACKSON BECOMES FIRST-EVER 30 TIMES MULTI-PLATINUM ALBUM

Michael Jackson's legacy sure lives on as Thriller has become the first album ever to be certified 30 times multi-platinum for U.S. sales, marking more than 30 million sales domestically.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) made the announcement today with the estate of Michael Jackson, Epic Records and Legacy Recordings. The latest milestone continues Jackson's reign as the best-selling artist of all time, with over 100 million sales for Thriller worldwide and 1 billion total sales to his credit.



Jackson's Thriller was released November 30, 1982, and spent nearly 2 ½ years on the Billboardalbum chart with 37 weeks at No. 1, holding the modern-day record. It was also the first album in history to spend its first 80 weeks in the album chart's top 10, which has only been replicated once since.

Kylie Jenner‘s Lip Filler kits are a sales phenomenon. The first launch of Kylie’s lip filler kits sold out within seconds two weeks ago. Kylie fans crashed the website within seconds.
A second batch of lip filler kits were launched last week and also sold out quickly. But customers who purchased the kits are upset that their kits have not arrived.

Angry customers took to social media to complain about Kylie’s poor customer service.
Some customers posted their tracking info online, showing the kits were shipped out but never received.
Many complained that they reached out to Kylie’s distributor, but haven’t received a response. Kylie what's going on? At this point your customers deserve an explanation.

Fifty, executively produced by Mo Abudu, has gone into the annals of history as the biggest film premiere in the history of Nigerian cinema. The Oscar-deserving premiere was held at the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday, December 13, 2015, attended by the crème de la crème of Lagos society.

With a red carpet that stretched forever, the premiere was attended by faces from Nigerian film and music, senior public figures and dignitaries from business and politics. Both the local and international media was present aplenty, including representatives of Vogue, Ebony and Essence. Musical performances by the King of Juju, King Sunny Ade, Waje and Tiwa Savage sent dinner down nicely.

BRAZIL IS THE NEXT HOT SPOT FOR FASHION AND SPORT LOVERS

Louis Vuitton has just announced that the exotic destination for their pre-spring/summer 2017 cruise collection showing  will be Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.


The show will take place on May 28, just three months prior to the 2016 Summer Olympics, also taking place in Rio de Janeiro.


Brazil being one of my favorite places in the world, will sure have a huge influx of tourist and I can't wait to visit again. So, fashion and sport lovers sure have something to look forward to next year.

This past weekend will remain an unforgettable one thanks to the #YearInVevo concert put together by Vevo. I arrived at Skylight Clarkson Sq. on Saturday to a really long line of people. Personally I felt I was too late and won't be able to get into the venue but I thought wrong as I not only got into the venue but also has some light breakfast and got to meet some really cool people.

So, Cam and J Balvin were scheduled to perform but it was no secret that majority of the people present came through for Grammy Award nominee The Weeknd. Only 50 people would get the chance to meet him and I'm truly thankful I was one of them.

He had an easy and likable personality and my best moment from meeting him was when he said"thank you for coming" and smiled. It was a beautiful event and there were lots to do and I also went home with a handful of Vevo goodies(smiles) and got the chance the lovely Marli who was amazing all through the event.You can check out our #hulusmash of 'Empire' below.    

KIM KARDASHIAN FEEDS ON HER PLACENTA

I was somewhat disturbed after reading about this story, but after doing some further reading I discovered that this has always been a trend and Kim Kardashian won't be the first to feed on her placenta after birth.

Now that Kim has given birth her son, Saint West, she is completing the birth cycle by eating her own placenta.
Thanks to Kim’s friend Joni Lucarelli, she can dine on her own placenta by swallowing gel capsules.

“I had great results and felt so energized and didn’t have any signs of depression … Every time I take a pill, I feel a surge of energy and feel really healthy and good,” Kim wrote in a blog post on Monday.

According to Page Six, Lucarelli has been “encapsulating” placentas for years. She asks the hospital to scoop up placenta afterbirth off the floor and bag them for processing later.
Lucarelli says no placenta goes to waste.

Alternative artist Remi is back with his new single called Mexico. This time Remi blends his usual guitar sound with synthetic melodies while delivering fast paced vocals to tell a story.

KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN AND SCOTT DISICK SPOTTED TOGETHER

On-and-off-again exes Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian were spotted together yet again.

The two were spotted leaving lunch on Dec. 9 with their 3-year-old daughter, Penelope. Disick wore a blue hooded sweatshirt with charcoal jeans, while Kardashian donned a light blue top with black jeans.

Disick and Kardashian have yet to comment on their relationship status since breaking up in July after nine years together, but something tells me it might not be over forever. We'll be watching.

Singer and business woman, Rihanna, revealed today that she will trade her front row fashion week seats for a more behind-the-scenes role by presenting at next year's New York Fashion Week.

In a new interview with Matt Lauer of "Today," the singer opens up about her new album, "25," her adorable son, Angelo, and her happy, healthy life.

MUSIC: GRAMMY NOMINATIONS LIST OUT. KENDRICK LAMAR LEADS THE PACK!

The nominations for the 58th annual Grammy Awards were announced on Monday morning.

Kendrick Lamar scored a leading 11 nominations, with Taylor Swift and The Weeknd each earning seven nominations. Drake scored five nominations. Lamar, Swift and The Weeknd will face off in the category of album of the year, going up against Alabama Shakes and Chris Stapleton.

How beautiful is it when you see your creative thoughts come to life! My bestie of many years, who has been working on his menswear fashion line, recently released his Spring/Summer 2016 collection.


The collection, themed, "elements of dualism", for spring/summer 2016 consist of a 10 piece collection.
Like the title suggests, we got our inspiration from the belief that everything has two opposite parts or principles, like love and hate, good and evil, etc hence the intent of using only two toned colors, blue and black.

If you've got something special in you, why hold back? This is why i'm pleased that my friend of many years Bright Benson a.k.a Bricks has decided to share his gift as a model and all round entertainer. And just so you know he is also in his final year in medical school. ALCOHOL IS THE DEVIL (A-TRAIN DIARY)

Anyone who knows me well, can tell you how much I dread the A-Train in New York. Apart from the long commute, you get to see a lot of not so pleasant activities sometimes. I've seen people smoke without any care in the world about other people on board, relationship drama (fights), sale of pornographic movies and trust me the list goes on.

 

 I was on board the other day when I saw this man you see on the floor of the train. It was evident he was under alcohol intoxication as I kept perceiving it throughout my ride. First, he was laying on the three seats with a bottle sticking out of his pocket and later on during the ride, he fell face down and kept snoring. The passenger whose leg you see in the photo tried to wake him up but man! this guy was gone. 

 

 Just though I'll share this and also advice that if you must drink and get drunk don't go out alone. Lets stay vigilant always! No matter what, New York City remains bae, lol.

I'm fortunate to always come in contact with creative minds every now and then.  And that's why I didn't hesitate to put up this post of something special coming your way in 2016.

'The Package' which is directed by Stephan Herman and written by Stephan Herman and David Chin, is a lead  to a series titled 'Kingdom fall' which will be released sometime next year.  There is a twist to it but you'll have to follow up when the main series is released. MORGAN FREEMAN SAFE AFTER PLANE MALFUNCTION

It has been confirmed that a plane carrying Morgan Freeman made an emergency landing in Mississippi after experiencing troubles during takeoff.

Freeman stated he is safe after abruptly landing in Tunica, Mississppi.

"I was on my plane on the way to Texas to shoot a segment for The Story of God," said Freeman in a statement. "Sometimes things don't go as planned and a tire blew on take-off which caused other problems. But thanks to my excellent pilot Jimmy Hobson we landed safely without a scratch."

Freeman added, "I cannot say the same about my plane. I appreciate the concern and prayers for our safety."

MY VIDEO INTERVIEW: CHEF RUDY'S CAKES! THE GREAT NORTHEAST CHEESE FEST 2015

One of the perks of studying Travel, Tourism and Hospitality is that you get to attend very interesting and educative events.

 

Last night I had the privilege of volunteering at The Great North East Cheese Fest that took place at Flushing Town Hall in New York City. This was a gathering that had my taste buds alive from start to finish as there were different types of cheese, saida, wines, jerkeys and some goat cheese soup that stays unforgettable.  Interestingly I helped in assisting Chef Rudolf Merlin , the owner of Creme Bakery located in Queens. He is so full of life and such a dynamic French man. His cakes got everyone that tried them coming back for more.

SIMON COWELL BURGLARIZED AGAIN

Simon Cowell is the victim of another home burglary.

A representative for the X Factor judge confirmed to that Cowell's London home was broken into while he, his girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their son Eric Cowell were in the home early Friday morning. The thieves stole cash and jewelry from the 56-year-old's Holland Park abode.

According to The Guardian, Metropolitan police said, "Police were called to an address in W14 on Friday December 4 at approximately 2.20am to reports of a burglary in progress. Officers attended the scene but the suspects had left the area."

In 2012, Cowell was watching television when he heard a crashing noise and found 29-year-old Leanne Zaloumis holding a brick. The woman broke into the music mogul's home by smashing the brick through his window and was later charged with aggravated burglary.

KIM AND KANYE WEST WELCOME SECOND CHILD

He's here! After nine months of waiting Kim and Kanye are now a family of four.

In an announcement to fans on her website, the reality TV star's post reads, "Kim Kardashian West and her husband, Kanye West, welcomed the arrival of their son this morning. Mother and son are doing well."

Kardashian West also took time to tweet on her personal Twitter account, "He's here!" accompanied by a photo of her and West holding hands. Congratulations!

NICKI MINAJ'S BROTHER CHARGED WITH RAPING MINOR

Nicki Minaj's newly married brother, Jelani Maraj, 37, is facing first degree rape charges and first degree course of sexual conduct with a child, according to Nassau First District Court documents.

Newsday first reported the findings after Maraj was injured on December 3, with a source telling the publication that the victim is 12 years old. Court documents say the incident occurred April 1, 2015 and Maraj was arrested on December 1, 2015.


Due to the nature of the case, details about the incident are limited.

Maraj married Jacqueline Robinson in Baldwin, New York in August. His superstar sister attended the event, where she Instagrammed a photo of herself with her arms wrapped around her brother's neck.

'EMPIRE' RETURNS IN MARCH

Some scenes from last night's Empire mid-season finale got me really emotional. If you're just like me that wants to know what happens next, I guess we'll have to wait till March 2016.


Empire goes off onto its three-month hiatus with a ratings boost. The Fox drama rose 38 percent with Wednesday's episode, averaging a 4.4 rating among adults 18-49. Among total viewers, the show was up by nearly 2 million viewers to 11.2 million.

It's very much in line with Empire's October and November same-day showings and a big improvement from last week's series low.

VIDEO: COLDPLAY TO PERFORM AT 2016 SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW

The news of Coldplay performing at the halftime-show of the Super Bowl 2016 really didn't come to me as a surprise. The very first time I heard "Adventure of a Lifetime" I knew that was a tune to keep on repeat on my play list.

MOVIE RATINGS: SEX OR VIOLENCE?

Sexual content and nudity in movies remains the top concern for parents, while violence and language — save for the F-word — have fallen to the lower end of the spectrum of concern.

The findings are part of the 2015 Parents Ratings Advisory Study commissioned by Classification & Rating Administration, home of the voluntary ratings system that's jointly run by the Motion Picture Association of America and the National Association of Theater Owners.

While 80 percent of parents in the U.S. believe the movie ratings system is accurate overall, a majority think most types of sexual content should automatically warrant an R rating and that even one use of the F-word is inappropriate for movies rated PG-13.

CARA uses the national surveys to see if its decisions are in sync with how a majority of parents feel, even as it comes under criticism for being tougher on sex and language than on violence.

LADY GAGA HAS A MESSAGE FOR YOU AS SHE GOES INTO HER 30S'

Lady Gaga is Billboards "Woman of the Year" and she's got a powerful message to share about aging.
The 29-year-old singer (born Stefani Germanotta) turns 30 in March and she told Billboard she couldn't be more thrilled about it.

"I'm really excited about showing girls, and even men, what it can mean to be a woman in her 30s. Why is it that we’re disposing of people once they pass that mark?" Gaga wondered in her interview. "It's suddenly, 'You're an old woman.' I'm not fucking old. I’m more sexual and powerful and intelligent and on my shit than I’ve ever been."
As she enters another decade, Gaga said she wants to use her age as an example for other women in the industry.

"I want to show women they don’t need to try to keep up with the 19 year olds and the 21 year olds in order to have a hit," said the "Applause" singer. "Women in music, they feel like they need to fucking sell everything to be a star. It’s so sad. I want to explode as I go into my 30s." In other news I must commend her acting skills in the current season of American Horror Story.

IGGY AZALEA PLANNING COME BACK

Azalea has been relatively quiet on social media lately after engaging in her fair share of twitter controversies and spats with celebs like Britney Spears and Azealia Banks.

Earlier this year, the "Black Widow" rapper even said that her management was taking over her account after she was body-shamed while on vacation, saying "The Internet is the ugliest reflection of man kind there is."

The rapper tweeted out a few vague responses to criticism that came from Erykah Badu at Sunday night's 2015 Soul Train Awards. At the awards show, Badu called out Azalea's rap skills in a fake phone call that was a part of her monologue.

"Uh, yes? Who is this? Iggy Azalea?" said Badu. "Yeah, hey. Oh, no, no, no, no, you can come, 'cause what you doin' is definitely not rap." Lets hope for the best for Iggy in 2016.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO RAPED BY BEAR.

Worry not, it's all an act. According to Drudge, the movie ‘Revenant’ stars Leo DiCaprio as a survivalist who is brutally and repeatedly raped by a bear!

The movie is based on true events.
In the horrific scene, directed by Oscar winner Alejandro Inarritu, DiCaprio’s foul-smelling character encounters the grizzly bear in Yellowstone National Park.
DiCaprio’s character plays dead, but the grizzly is not fooled.
